Q: Can you diagnose my computer over the internet?

A: As long as you have a stable internet connection like cable or DSL, Yes, we can do your diagnostics over the internet.

Q: What can be done for my computer through the remote support service?

A: Short answer, almost anything that can be done in the shop. Updates, tune-ups, disinfections, Network setups, printer configuration, software help and much more.

Q: What are the rates for remote services?

A: Remote services cost $60 for 1/2 hour or $100 per hour.  There is also annual plans available at a substantial savings.

Q: How much does it cost to get the viruses out of my computer?

A: We offer a complete disinfection service including a performance tune up for a flat rate of $160. Some exceptions do apply if the computer is badly damaged because of ransomware or more severe infections.

Q: Can you upgrade my system to better meet my needs at a reasonable price?

A: We do complete software configurations including upgrading your older computers (Windows 7 and above) to the new Windows 10 or Windows 11 (If your computer supports it.)  The labor to do the upgrade depends on how you want it done. A “clean” install, meaning backing up your data, reformatting the hard drive and installing a New copy of Windows 10 or 11 usually goes for $180.

An “In-place upgrade” is when we take your existing system with all your software and data and migrate it to Windows 10 or 11. This is a more time consuming process and therefor costs a bit more. Usually $220 complete including all updates.

Q: I have a business consisting of many workstations, do you have fixed price plans for this type of scenario?  And if so, what is the cost of such an arrangement?

A: Most of our business clients sign up for our Remote Assistance Plan. It’s more affordable that coming into your office. Our business plans start at $700 for the company including 2 computers, each additional computer is billed at $100 a year added to the plan. Q:Do you give free estimates over the phone ?

A: YES! As best we can without seeing the computer. Our in office diagnostics are done at no charge and you will get a more accurate quote in the shop.

Q: Are you able to fix my problems even if I am not in the local area or out of state?

A: We have many clients that are located all over the United States (even one in England!) If your computer will run and you can get on the internet, we can use our remote assistance service to diagnose and in most cases repair your computer. For more information, check out our Remote Services

Q:Do you repair or replace cracked or broken laptop screens and how long does it take?

A: We do replace most LCD screens on laptops. however, due to the many different kinds of laptops, we don’t stock any LCD’s (nobody does). Depending on the laptop, ordering the screens can take anywhere from 3 days to a month (if it has to come from China, and yes, HP is manufactured in China!). Installation can be done the same day when we get the LCD.

Q: Do you do onsite repairs?

A: Yes we do! Our onsite rates are $120 per hour for residential for the first hour and then we charge by the half hour after that. Business onsite services are billed at $140 per hour. Any onsite request within 10 miles of our shop is not charged any extra travel fees. If you are outside the 10 mile radius we charge $1 per mile for the round trip. Our normal distance traveled is no more than 30 miles. We can make exceptions but you would have to call to discuss this with us.

Q: What if I’m not completely satisfied with the final outcome?

A: If you aren’t 100% satisfied, we will do our very best to to get you there. We are a 5 star company and have gotten there by going the extra mile to make sure that all repairs and services exceed your expectations. Finally, if we can’t fix your problems to your expectations, you don’t pay for it! We are that confident that you will be happy with our service.
